User Instructions
The plate filter captures the dust that is thrown up by the
brushes.
Replace the filter, if
– dust is expelled by the sweeper and the plate filter is
damaged,
– operating the filter shaker does not provide the
desired results.
Use KÄRCHER Plate Filter (Order no. 5.731-052) only.
Park sweeper and switch off engine.
Open flap covering filter.
Loosen bar on filter shaker (SW 5), and then pull it
out.
Remove hex-socket bolts (SW 5), detach frame and
lift out plate filter.
Insert new plate filter, attach frame and refit hex-
socket bolts.
Position sweeper on a flat surface, and apply parking
brake.
Close fuel supply tap, and allow engine to continue
running until it cuts out by itself.
Lower brush roller.
Remove debris containers.
Detach fine-dust container.
Tilt sweeper backwards until chassis touches floor.
Attention: The sweeper should not be tilted
backwards for longer than 5 minutes (engine oil
could seep into carburettor). Before proceeding,
check that the sweeper is fixed in position and
cannot tilt forward again. If necessary a second
person should hold the sweeper.
Remove right and left hex-socket bolts.
Lift brush roller out downwards.
Fit new sweeping roller; see drawing for correct
alignment.
Continue with assembly in reverse order to removal
procedure.
Check engine oil level before restarting sweeper.
After engine has been started, a small amount of
smoke is normal. This will cease of its own accord.
