TECHNICAL MANUAL
05 IN TEN DED U S E
OF OC W HEELS
The different OC wheel models have been designed and
tested for different types of cycling. Always use your spe-
categories..
Using a model on conditions of a superior
category for which it was intended can signif-
icantly reduce its useful life, as well as lead to
material damage that can result in accidents
and serious injuries.
Damage to the wheels caused by use be-
yond their intended category can lead to
component damage that is not covered by
the warranty.
USAGE CATEGORIES
The intended use for all models is
ASTM Condition 1, which is designed
to be used on paved roads where both
wheels maintain contact with the road
surface at all times.
For all ASTM categories, see the user
manual.
The intended use for all models is
ASTM Condition 2, which includes use
under Condition 1, plus unpaved and
gravel roads and trails with moderate
grades and/or drops up to 15cm (6in).
For all ASTM categories, see the user
manual.
OC W HEELS
The intended use for all models is
ASTM Condition 3, which includes
use under Conditions 1 and 2, plus
technical and rough trails or unpaved
roads with drops and jumps up to
61cm (24in).
Use in this type of terrain requires
technical skills and can cause injuries
to beginner cyclists.
For all ASTM categories, see the user
manual.
The intended use for all models is
ASTM Condition 4, which includes
use under Conditions 1, 2, and 3,
plus technical trails with numerous
obstacles on downhill grades grades,
and therefore the speeds reached
are higher.
Moderate jumps and drops are
frequent. Due to the nature of
this terrain, these models must be
inspected after each use. Use on this
type of terrain requires technical skills
and can result in serious injury to
beginner riders.
For all ASTM categories, see the
user manual.
The intended use for all models is
ASTM Condition 5, which includes use
under Conditions 1, 2, 3, and 4, plus
extreme jumping or downhill grades
on rough trails with a severe negative
gradient.
Enduro-gravity
are frequent, so riders must be aware
of their technical capabilities, as use in
this type of terrain can result in serious
injuries. Due to the nature of this ter-
rain, these models must be inspected
after each use.
For all ASTM categories, see the user
