Read the operating instructions before commissioning.

The WL9(M4)(G)-3 is an opto-electronic photoelectric retro-reflective sensor (referred to
as "sensor" in the following) for the optical, non-contact detection of objects, animals,
and persons. A reflector is required for this product to function. If the product is used
for any other purpose or modified in any way, any warranty claim against SICK AG shall
become void.

1 Adjust the distance between the sensor and the reflector according to the corre‐
sponding diagram (x = sensing range, y = operating reserve).
