ENGLISH
- Under the concrete foundation, place insulating
material (cork or reinforced rubber) in order to sup-
press the transmission of noise and vibrations in the
installation.
5.2 Hydraulic connections (see FIG.1 and 2)
By weld-on PN16 weld-on round counter-flanges (not
supplied) with bearing contact face of same diameter
as pump ports.
Comply with flow direction. Look at arrows on pump
casing flanges.
•On either side of ports, provide isolating valves in
order to facilitate the dismantling, and anti-vibration
sleeves to prevent stresses and circulation noise.
JRC:
- Mount after the discharge flange a sleeve or an
increaser before the isolating valve to allow working
on the valve without dismantling the pump.
DN 40 to 100 = 200 mm long - DN 125 to 200 = 400 mm long
- To avoid any disturbance of the incorporated valve
operation, do not add any butterfly valve directly on
delivery side flange.
Avoid the pipe weight being borne by the pump, use
support or clamps.
Pressure measurements: two 1/4" dia. ports for
connection of pressure gauges are provided in suction
and discharge flanges (Kit PRESS 16 recommended).

5.3 Electrical connections

The electrical connections and checks must be
performed by a licensed electrician and comply
with applicable local standards.
Check that the supply network corresponds to that
indicated on the motor data plate.
The motor protection is mandatory:
LRC: by circuit-breaker 439 DS
JRC: by a control box Y1200 S or PS.
Power supply
Use a cable complying with the applicable standards:
•Box 439 DS: 4 conductors (3 phases + Earth)
•Box Y1200 S or PS: 5 conductors (3 phases + Neutral + Earth).
Thermal overload probes PTO
They are fitted to all motors (except LRC-JRC 410-30 to -
36, 412-30 to -36, and 415-30 to -36, fitted with PTC probes).
The motor stops on overheating (frequent startups,
overload, ...), through contact with automatic ope-
ning and closing from motor cooling.
Manual reset is performed by acting on the thermal-
relay button of the circuit-breaker or box.
Probes must be connected.
All 3 PTC probes in motor winding are to be connected
to a control relay* with automatic reset (NOT SUPPLIED)
to be integrated into the installation control cabinet.
* The supply voltage must not exceed 2.5 V per probe,
or 7.5 V total.
* Control relay: Télémécanique LT2-SE or Microtherm
TMS 100 or 110, or similar.
Perform the electrical connections according to the
diagrams supplied together with the boxes, or see
FIG.3, 4, and 5.
Perform earthing.
The power cable must not touch the pipe or the
pump.
6. STARTING UP
6.1 Filling - Venting
Never operate the pump dry, even momentarily.
- Close the discharge valve and completely fill the
pump and suction pipe.
- Open the bleed(s) located on the motor-pump
connection spacer and then wait for the water to
flow out, before closing them.
6.2 Adjustments
Thermal relays
On circuit-breaker 439 DS or control box Y1200, adjust
the thermal relay(s) protecting the motor, according
to the current marked on the data plate.
Perform fine adjustment:
- With the motor stopped, disconnect one phase.
- Power back up and check that the relay trips out
immediately.
- Check that the current drawn does not exceed the
value marked on the motor data plate.
- Gradually open the discharge valve and check for
pressure stability.
Check of the direction of rotation
The direction of rotation shall be checked rapidly so as
not to operate the pump in the no-flow condition
(discharge valve closed) for too long.
The right direction of rotation is indicated by an arrow
on the spacer.
LRC + Circuit-breaker:
- Close the circuit-breaker and checks that the motor
turns in the right direction.
JRC + control box Y1200 S or PS
- Switch the box on (indicator lamp lit).
- Press "Manual operation" and "Pump 1 on " keys (indi-
cator lamp on).
- Check the direction of rotation.
- Perform the same operations for pump 2.
