6.1 Routine maintenance
WARNING!
•
Before any routine maintenance operations, if the harvesting head is assembled on the tool, switch the tool off
(see the power unit manual), disconnect the power supply cable and then remove the head from the extension
pole.
•
All maintenance operations which are not described in this manual shall be carried out only by Authorized Service
Points.
Routine maintenance operations can be carried out by the operators.
6.1.1 General
Before any routine maintenance operation:
•
Select the OFF mode in the ON-OFF switch of the Power Unit.
•
Wear protective gloves.
•
Disconnect the harvesting head from the extension pole.
6.1.2 Cleaning the harvesting head
Each 200 work hours, open the mechanical head (2) and remove dust and dirt having penetrated it. Check the bushings (9)
condition and grease them if necessary with spray grease LISYNT-00-EP Campagnola.
WARNING!
Cleaning the harvesting head means limiting frictions, which would jeopardize tool performance and work autonomy.
6.1.3 Teeth replacing
The damaged teeth have to be removed from their seat (4) by carrying out the following operations:
•
Remove the rake (1) from the connection after unscrewing the two screws (13) fixing the plate (12).
•
Position the support (4) onto a vice and shorten the damaged tooth (3) up to 2 cm.
•
By means of a rubber hammer hit the top of the tooth (3) till it gets out of its seat (fig.I).
•
Put the new tooth (3) into its seat, being careful to hook the plastic small protrusion to the teeth holder side (picture L).
•
Re-assemble the rake onto the connection.
6.1.4 Storing the tool
Before storing the tool for a prolonged time, carry out the following operations:
•
Take the harvesting head to an Authorized Service Point for being cleaned and greased.
•
Store it in its box in a dry place.
6.2 Special maintenance
WARNING!
Any special maintenance operation shall be carried out by a camPaGnola S.r.l. Authorized Service Point only.
