2.1.2 General precautions
WARNING!
•
Use the tool only while standing on the ground in a safe and stable position.
•
Always use adequate clothing as called for by the job. Wear tight clothing. Do not wear ties, necklaces or belts
which may get caught in the moving parts. Use goggles, safety shoes and anti-vibration gloves (picture G).
•
It is compulsory to use a noise-abatement headset.
•
Do not operate, service or repair the equipment, if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, which could
impair your alertness or co-ordination.
•
Only well trained and qualified personnel, who have read this Use and Maintenance Manual carefully, are allowed
to use the tool.
•
Keep children and animals away from the tool.
•
Do not alter the safety and protective devices.
•
The operator is the only responsible for injuries caused to other people or for damages caused to their belong-
ings.
•
Do not use the tool when you are in an unstable position or off balance.
•
It is forbidden to operate the tool while standing on a ladder.
•
Keep the rakes and any other moving part away from your face.
•
Before any maintenance operations are carried-out, select the OFF mode in the ON-OFF switch. Disconnect the
power supply cable from the battery.
•
Before any routine maintenance operation, read this Use and Maintenance Manual carefully. For any other mainte-
nance operation, which is not described in this manual, take the tool to a CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorised Service
Point.
•
The tool shall be used for the purposes described in par. 'Product Description' only. Other uses could cause inju-
ries and/or damages.
2.2 use
•
Always wear goggles or a visor, safety shoes and anti-vibration gloves and a noise-abatement headset.
•
The working position must be stable and safe.
•
The tool shall be used for the purposes described in par. 'Product Description' only. Other uses could cause injuries and/or
damages.
•
Do not leave the tool in the rain. Keep it in a dry place.
•
Do not carry the tool by the power supply cable.
•
The same operator shall not use the tool for a prolonged time. Two operators shall alternate working for one hour and then
having a one hour's break. A prolonged use could be excessively tiring for the operator.
•
When the tool is not used, select the OFF mode in the ON-OFF switch.
