Operating instructions SATAminijet 3000 B HVLP / BT HVLP
2. Functional Description

2.1 General Points

The SATAminijet 3000 B HVLP allows the application of colours and paints with very low
overspray. The special construction of the air cap achieves a spray fan with finest atomisa-
tion at a spray gun inlet pressure of 2 bar; 29 psi (air pressure 0.7 bar; 10 psi). Due to the
fine atomisation, the SATAminijet 3000 B HVLP is especially suitable to achieve a perfect
surface finish with small and larger fan sizes. The round/flat spray control allows a conti-
nuous fan size ranging from the finest spray fan to the round spray fan. The material volume
can be perfectly adjusted with the material flow control screw.
The SATAminijet 3000 B T HVLP is especially designed for the application of stains and
separating agent.
2.2 Rule 1151
The spray gun body is labelled with the maximum inlet pressure of 2 bar (29 psi). The maxi-
mum internal air cap pressure 0,7 bar (10 psi) at 2 bar (29 psi) inlet air pressure will not be
exceeded at air cap center or horns.
2.3 Features
Fluid tip and air cap: The fluid tips are labelled with the nozzle size, for example 0.8 for
the diameter 0.8, and HVLP. For all nozzle sizes, the air cap is additionally labelled with the
letters "HVLP" or "SR".

4. Putting into Operation
Before putting into operation, and especially after each cleaning and any repair work, check
to see that all screws and nuts are tight. This applies in particular for the material flow control
screw (counter nut), the round/flat spray control as well as the headless pin, pos. 64972, for
the air micrometer. The paint spray gun has been treated with an anticorrosive agent before
leaving the factory and must therefore be flushed out thoroughly with thinner before. For ser-
vicing/repair work of any kind, the system must be devoid of pressure, i.e. disconnected from
the air supply. Failure to respect this safety warning may result in damage and injuries, even
death at worst. SATA does not take any responsibility for possible results of such failure.
Material and air connection of SATAminijet 3000 B T HVLP
a) Connect the hose pair to the pressure tank with double pressure reducer
b) Adjust required atomisation air pressure with the trigger fully pulled. After this, adjust
required material pressure with trigger fully pulled. Please check spray pattern on a
piece of paper or the like and adjust pressure, if necessary.
