Step 1
Assemble your unit on a carpeted fl oor or on the empty carton to avoid scratching your unit or the fl oor.

NOTE: You must assemble the 109843 Executive Desk fi rst, then the 109848 Return Kit before assembling this unit

(109872 U-Shape Connector Kit).
NOTE: The diagram shows the 109848 Return Kit attached to the right side of the 109843 Executive Desk. Your 109848

Return Kit may be attached to the left side of the 109843 Executive Desk or not at all yet.
If the 109848 Return Kit is not yet attached to the 109843 Executive Desk, go to the next step now. If the 109848 Return

Kit is already attached to the 109843 Executive Desk, continue with this step.
IMPORTANT: Have someone hold the 109848 Return Kit level while you are removing it from the 109843 Executive Desk.

Remove the 109848 Return Kit from the 109843 Executive Desk. To do so, remove the four screws from each connector
å
plate that attach the plates to the Desk.
Next, remove the support bracket from the Return Kit. To do so, remove all six screws from the support bracket.

And fi nally, remove the gold screws and washers that attach the Return Kit modesty panel to the Desk.

NOTE: Save these screws and the support bracket. You will need them later in assembly.

Executive Desk
Remove three gold screws and
washers from the modesty panel.
Also, completely remove the
support bracket from both units.
