2. Lay out and install the 2-core wiring harness
Remove the door sill panels on the driver side and the passenger side
Lift up the carpet on the driver side and the passenger side
Remove the floor panel plugs on the driver side and the passenger side, they are no longer needed
Feed the wires through the body opening from the outside of the car to the inside, then position the rubber bushing on
the wiring harness and insert it in the opening, see Fig. 1
Remove the weatherstrips near the A-pillar on the driver side and the passenger side
Remove the A-pillar trim on the driver side and the passenger side
Remove the front interior light
Run the wires on the driver side and the passenger side along the A-pillars to the upper edge of the dashboard in the
hollow spaces between the A-pillars and their lower trims or the upper dashboard edge, then fasten the wires to the
existing wires in the upper part of the A-pillars all the way to the headliner using cable ties, see Fig. 1
Use a threading wire to thread the wires above the headliner from the A-pillars on the driver side and the passenger
side to the front interior light, see Fig. 1
Cut the "red" and "black" wires of the interior light inside the vehicle
Connect the "red" wire harness ends to the "red" wires of the interior light using the enclosed butt connector,
see Fig. 2
Connect the "black" wire harness ends to the "black" wires of the interior light using the enclosed butt connector,
see Fig. 2
Install the front interior light
Install the weatherstrips near the A-pillar on the driver side and the passenger side
Replace the carpet on the driver side and the passenger side
Install the door sill panels on the driver side and the passenger side
Seal the area where the wires pass through the undercarriage with anti-corrosion wax (not included)
Connect the installed wires to the vehicle's side bars on the driver side and the passenger side
3. Function test
Test the function of the LED lights on the side bars.
