IMPORTANT!
Before cutting with a new chain, spin the chain (2) at low speed for a few minutes. This allows the oil
to reach all parts of the chain (2) and bar (1).
The first cuts must be light, avoiding heavy pressure and making sure that there is plenty of oil. Make sure
that the chain, bar and pinion warm up completely and check the tension of the chain and adjust it if neces-
sary.

6.1.3 Check the wear of the chain pinion

Periodically check the pinion for wear.
If signs of wear on the pinion exceed 0.5 mm (0.02 in.) the pinion must be replaced.
Never use a chain with a worn pinion, especially if the chain is new.
Always mount a new chain on a new pinion.
IMPORTANT!
The chain pinion must be replaced by an authorised workshop

6.1.4 Cleaning the cutting bar and lubrication holes

The lubrication system must be clean for the bar and chain to be efficient.
After disassembling the front casing (6), the chain (2) and the bar (1); remove all cutting residues (sawdust) using a
brush.
Clean the whole area of the tool that is below the bar and specifically the oil distributor (A).
Use a brush to remove all traces of dirt on the bar:
- Clean the groove of the bar with the dedicated scraper.
- Clean the lubrication holes.

6.1.5 Cleaning the valve

The pneumatic valve is an important tool for the flow of compressed air which allows the motor to start.
It must be kept clean and the condition of the gaskets must be checked to keep it efficient.
CAUTION!
Make sure to detach the tool from the compressed air supply pipe before extracting the pneumatic valve.
Unscrew the valve cap (12).
Carefully remove the valve.
Blow compressed air on the valve shaft and in the seat on the body.
Carefully insert the valve in the body and screw the cap
