External Battery Connection

3
Check to ensure that the external batteries you are
connecting match the voltage listed on your UPS's
battery connector. All UPS models come with a
robust internal battery system; select models feature
connectors that accept optional external battery
packs (sold separately from Tripp Lite) to provide
additional runtime. Adding external batteries will
increase recharge time as well as runtime. See the
battery pack owner's manual for complete
installation instructions. Make sure cables are fully
inserted into their connectors. Small sparks may
result during battery connection; this is normal. Do
not connect or disconnect battery packs when the
UPS is running on battery power.
Accessory Card Slot
4
The slot accommodates an optional internal
accessory card (model SNMPWEBCARD or
RELAYIOCARD, sold separately).
SNMPWEBCARD provides an Ethernet network
interface for remote monitoring and control of the
UPS system via SNMP, Web or telnet.
SNMPWEBCARD enables remote reboots,
shutdowns, load monitoring, condition reporting
and more. Use SNMPWEBCARD with an optional
environmental sensor (model ENVIROSENSE,
sold separately) to monitor temperature and
humidity or to control and monitor alarms and
security systems. RELAYIOCARD provides a
programmable contact closure interface with 6
outputs and 1 input.
Remove the cover panel from the slot to insert the
accessory card. Refer to the SNMPWEBCARD or
RELAYIOCARD documentation for additional
installation instructions.
