HBS x-touch 300 argon BiSeal
6.3 Warning remarks regarding argon-supported coagulation and cutting
!
The flexible argon probe must not be guided directly into the tissue.
!
Never insufflate argon into the cardiovascular system.
In the case of laporoscopy procedures, the flow of argon increases the insufflation pressure.
!
Argon-supported laporoscopy procedures can only be carried out using insufflators which
support pressure regulation. In case of doubt, enquire with the insufflator supplier whether
the device supports pressure regulation.
In order to avoid a sudden increase in insufflation pressure during the application of argon,
!
the trocar valve should remain open. If the pressure reaches the critical value, interrupt the
supply of argon and wait until it drops to an acceptable level.
!
Apart from monitoring the pressure resulting from pneumoperitoneum caused by the
insufflator, the pressure must be continuously and independently monitored by the OP team.
!
The operating instructions for argon accessories must be acknowledged and adhered to.
6.4 Switching on
When using an electrosurgical unit which produces HF current, always be
!
aware of two fundamental principles:
The system is switched on by actuating the main switch (ON/OFF). However, high-frequency current
only flows once a button is activated at the handle or foot switch.
Consequently, accessories can also be connected to the unit when it is switched on.
However, extreme care should always be taken when doing so!
!
Always ensure that the system is not inadvertently activated during
installation by pressing the foot switch or the button in the handle.
®
Current flows through everything located between the active
and the neutral electrode (monopolar)
