To Attach the Wrist Strap
Caution – Wear an antistatic wrist strap and use an ESD-protected mat when
!
handling components. When servicing or removing system unit components, an ESD
Strap should be attached to the wrist, then to a metal area on the chassis or the
power-supply (dependent upon procedure), and then the power connectors should
be removed from the system unit.
Following this caution equalizes all electrical potentials with the system unit.
Using a wrist strap with a 10mm press stud connection, attach the wrist strap to the
press stud either at the front ( on page 21) or the rear ( on page 22)
