2. Transport and storage
Accumulator transports must be carried out with special care and in compliance with all applicable transport
and safety regulations.
Bladder accumulators shall only be transported without bolted blocks or other equipment. All openings must be
closed with the plugs and caps supplied to prevent dirt or moisture from entering the bladder accumulator.
CAUTION:
firmly fixed on a pallet and secured against unintentional rolling.
For lifting and transporting bladder accumulators of heavy weight, a hoist with sufficient load-bearing capacity
must be used. Only lifting straps or slings may be used.
CAUTION:
When transporting with a hoist, do not use chains or steel cables that could
mechanically damage the bladder accumulator.
During transport, a stable center of gravity must be ensured. When depositing and releasing the slings, ensure
that the bladder accumulator is secured against unintentional rolling, tipping or slipping.
WARNING: Accumulators which have been damaged during transport must not be put into
operation!
Bladder accumulators should be stored dry and cool (ideal temperature 5°C to 20°C) and protected from direct
sunlight. It must be ensured that no contamination can penetrate into the vessel, i.e. the gas valve is to be
covered with its plug and the oil valve with its protective cap.
If the accumulator is to be stored for longer than 3 months, it is recommended to reduce the pre-charge pressure
to a minimum of approx. 1-2 bar to prevent a compression set of the bladder or sealing elements. When storing
for more than 12 months, the bladder must be disassembled and stored separately in a UV-resistant container.
Inspection intervals in accordance with legal regulations applicable at the installation site are often
related to the date of manufacture and are therefore not extended by the storage period before
commissioning.
The warranty period also remains unaffected by storage prior to commissioning. It starts at the date
of delivery.
When transporting with a fork lifter, the bladder accumulator may only be handled
