7.2 Disassembly of the accumulator
The bladder accumulator disassembly is carried out fixed in a vice with protective jaws or in a comparable clamping
system in horizontal position. The disassembly starts at the gas end of the accumulator.
Unscrew and remove the outer protective cap and the inner
valve cap of the gas port.
Relief the pre-charge pressure of the bladder using the filling
and testing device. The instructions in chapter 6.3 must be
observed.
WARNING: Ensuring a sufficient pressure relief of the bladder before proceeding the following
disassembly steps.
An indication of sufficient relief is provided by a clearly visible gap between the spring-loaded poppet valve and
its seat inside the fluid port housing (cf. cpl. 3.1). If this gap is not recognized or only slightly pronounced, the
bladder must be further relieved by means of the testing and filling device.
Screw off the gas valve body with countered gas valve stem.
Unscrew and remove the retainer nut with countered gas
valve stem.
Remove the name plate and keep it in a safe place.
Carefully push the free gas valve stem inside the vessel until
the bladder detaches from the bottom of the vessel.
