Assembly of the accumulator

Prior to assembly, ensure that all accumulator components are in proper condition. In particular, the inside of
the vessel must be clean, free of foreign matter and dirt particles.
If a replacement bladder is to be used, the valve body must first be unscrewed and any gas present inside the
bladder must be completely removed. Careful folding of the bladder along its longitudinal axis allows it to be
securely mounted when it is drawn in through the vessel opening on the fluid end.
Lube the bladder, the fluid end centering bore and the inner vessel
surface rich with mineral oil or another material compatible lubricant.
Screw the threaded rod into the tapped bore of the gas valve stem.
Insert the free end of the threaded rod in the vessels fluid port locating
bore, pass it through the gas port bore at the opposite end and lock in
place.
Slightly squeeze the bladder at its head end, insert it through the
opening on the fluid side and push it step by step inside the vessel.
Make sure that the bladder does not twist or bend.
Use the threaded rod to guide the gas valve stem through the gas-side
bore. Pass the nameplate and then the retaining nut over the threaded
rod to the vessels face end. Loosely screw the retaining nut onto the
gas valve stem and do not tighten it yet. Remove the threaded rod.
Screw in the gas valve body with its pre-assembled valve core and
sealings. Tighten the valve body to 14
stem with a wrench.
Insert and guide the fluid port housing assembly through the oil-side
vessel bore with the collar oriented towards the gas end and place it
inside the vessel. If applicable, disassemble the side drain plug first.
