8 Service life

The service life limit of bladder accumulators, in particular the limit of the accumulator vessel, depend on the
number of load cycles and the related operating pressure range.
The max. allowable pressure range for the bladder accumulator assembly can be taken from chapter 3.2 or
from the declaration of conformity.
Bladder accumulators, i.e. their pressure containing parts are fatigue-resistant if maintenance instructions are
observed and if they are operated within the permissible limit values.

9 Disposal

According to BGV D23, bladder accumulators are closed hollow bodies and thus must not be melted down
unopened. It is therefore necessary to completely relieve the pressure in the bladder accumulator and at least
to make it unusable by removing the gas valve body. If necessary, the bladder accumulator must be completely
dismantled.
When disposing of the bladder accumulator, the national regulations of the operating country must
be taken into account. Freudenberg recommends disposing of metal components separately from
sealing elements.
