· Do not allow the battery charger to get wet or use it
while it is wet. Do not hod, the charger with wet hand to
avoid electric shocks.
· Do not use the charger when it is covered with a cloth
or other material.
· Do not touch the metallic parts of the batteries or ther
charger to avoid electric shoks.
· Do not use the charger to charge the battery outdoors
or in environments with high humidity. Avoid exposure
to rain or wind.
· Do not hold the charger by its cable when carrying it
and avoid wrapping the cable around the main body of
the charger when storing it.
· Do not pedal or perform any kind of battery discharging
operation while the charger is connected.
· Always remove the Range Extender from the bicycle
before wasdhing it with water or any other liquid.
· Wait for an hour if you would like to charge the battery
after riding. The battery temperature might be too high.
· It is recommend to charge the battery in an area with a
smoke detector.
· It is not recommended to have the battery connected
permanently to the charger to avoid damage to the bat-
tery in case the charging cut off circuit fails.
RECYCLE
· Battery packs, accessories and packaging should be
sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
· Lithium ion batteries are recyclable, valuable resourc-
es. For information on used batteries, enquire your
local authorities. Consult Orbea or the bicycle dealer
if unclear.
· The battery may not be disposed of as household
waste. It would be accepted at the point of sale and
duly disposed of.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

· Charge the battery at least every 3 months to approxi-
mately 50% of its capacity, even when the bicycle is not
in use.
· Products are not guaranteed against natural wear and
deterioration from normal use and aging.
· The life of the battery will vary depending on factors
such as the storage method, the usage conditions, the
surrounding environment and the characteristics of
the individual battery.
· If the battery has become completely empty, charge it
as soon as possible. If the battery is left uncharged,
it may cause the battery to deteriorate and become
unusable.
· Please do not disassemble the battery or other related
parts, including labels. It may cause the battery lo lose
its warranty.

more about the Orbea warranty and the warranty
claim process.

CONNECTING THE EP8 SYSTEM TO ETUBE PROFESSIONAL
USING THE SHIMANO SM-PCE02 INTERFACE
(INFORMATION FOR DEALERS)
The system diagnostics using the Etube Pro-
fessional tools must be performed by an au-
thorized dealer.
As an user, you can use the Shimano Etube
Project app for smartphones to connect your
bicyle, customize the system and perform
some diagnostics.
On models without Bluetooth connectivity
(assemblies with the Shimano SC-E5003 dis-
play), a dealer must connect the bicycle to
Etube Project Professional to perform chang-
es in the system such as customizing the
power output and characteristics of the assist
