This tool has been specifi cally designed for cutting Copper or Aluminium cables.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CUT STEEL ROPES OR STEEL REINFORCED CONDUCTORS.
Do not use the tool for purposes other than those intended by Cembre.
The operator should concentrate on the work being performed and be careful to maintain
balanced working position.
Work in a clean, uncluttered area. Keep persons away from immediate work area.
Inspect the blades before each use. Do not use damaged blades.
Damaged blades can break and cause injury or damage to the tool.
Before each use, verify the integrity of the tool; replace any worn, possibly damaged or missing
parts with original Cembre spares.
Wear eye protection. Metal chips can fl y from blades when cutting.
Do not cut live cables or conductors.

2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
2.1) Setting
Connect the cutting head to the hydraulic pump (Ref. to Fig. 1).
The head is equipped with a "self-lock" quick male coupler suitable for connection to a
hydraulic, pneumatic or electric pump from the Cembre range.
Insert the conductor between the blades at the desired cutting point (Ref. to Fig. 2).
2.2) Blade advancement
Operate the pump to advance the blades, the ram will gradually move forward until the blades
touch the conductor. Make sure the blades are exactly positioned on the desired cutting point;
otherwise re-open the blades, as § 2.4 and re-position the cutting head.
