You will now hear a double beep to confirm that the changes have been stored successful-
ly. If you do not wish to accept the new data, you must answer 'NO' to the security query.
In either case the start display for the programming procedure re-appears.

READING OUT THE DATA ON A BID CHIP / BID KEY
If you have a battery with a BID chip and connect it to the charger, the following battery
data can be read out to give you an accurate display of the battery's state.

CHARGE / DISCHARGE PROCESSES WITH A BID CHIP / KEY

BID chip / keys are so small that you can slip them into whatever other accessories you
are using. The pictures on the next page show how BID chips are used.

Operating instructions
When you have finished entering the parameters,
you must conclude the procedure by pressing the
'ENTER' button once more; this stores the new
values permanently in the BID chip. If data has
been changed during the entry procedure, the
screen first displays a security query: to store
the data you have to change the answer to 'YES'
using the '+' or '-' button, and then press the
'ENTER' button.
Data is stored on the BID chip / BID key, and can
be read out.
Pressing the '+' button twice displays the first
parameter on the screen: this is the capacity of the
current charge or discharge process.
Pressing the '+' button twice more displays the
second parameter on the screen: this is the maxi-
mum capacity value from all charge / discharge
processes.
Pressing the '+' button twice more displays the final
parameter: this is the number of charge cycles and
the programmed date.
