5. Commissioning, operation
There must always be sufficient SF₆ gas in the test case to be able to carry out a
measurement correctly. Therefore, the internal gas container of the test case must be filled
with the help of an external gas cylinder. The guideline value for a filling pressure to be
able to recalibrate all typical leakage detection systems is 8 bar abs.

Improper filling may cause gas to escape.

Model ACS-10 may only be filled via CON2.
▶
No test item may be connected during filling.

Ensure that the pressure does not exceed 10 bar abs. when connecting an
external gas cylinder to CON2.
Otherwise, this could result in a risk to persons, the environment and
equipment, as well as in the destruction of the calibration system.

Fill the internal gas tank with max. 9 bar abs.
Before connecting the ACS-10 to an external gas cylinder, a pressure reducer with
p = 10 bar abs. must be connected.

Filling of the ACS-10 may only take place in a room with SF₆ gas monitoring (e.g. with an
SF₆ gas sensor, limit value 1,000 ppm
regulations)) or outdoors.
CAUTION!
Physical injuries and damage to property due to instrument falling
down
Improper filling may cause the instrument to fall down.

Use a hose with a maximum length of 4 m for filling.
▶
Model ACS-10 must be in a horizontal position when filling on a level
and stable surface.
No test item may be connected during the filling procedure.
