5. Commissioning, operation
Up to 5 switch points with individual designation can be configured per leakage
detection system.
For each leakage detection system with switch contacts, the switch points must be
entered individually. The switches (2) can be activated by tapping them.
When configurating, care must be taken that the switches are set to the depressurised
state.
In the example shown, SP1 and SP2 would be open at the filling pressure of the
electrical system and would be actuated ("falling making") when the pressure drops
below the switching threshold (5). SP3 would be open at nominal pressure and on
exceeding the switching threshold would be actuated ("rising making") (4).
The designations of the switch points (3) can be changed. After specifying all relevant
data, this leakage detection system can be saved (1).
Examples for switching functions
The examples shown below illustrate which configuration of the electronic switches of
the leakage detection systems must be selected for the respective switching function.
The designations "falling" and "rising" refer to the nominal pressure of the electrical
equipment. A change-over contact (such as model GDM-RC-100) must be configured
as either a normally open or normally closed contact.
Information
The selection of wrong switching directions or switching functions leads to
recalibration with wrong test parameters.
Ensure that the correct switching direction (falling/rising) and switching
function (normally closed/normally open) are indicated.
