5. Commissioning, operation

The evacuation process must be carried out on a level and stable surface in a horizontal
position.
Filling or evacuation of the ACS-10 may only take place in a room with SF₆ gas monitoring
(e.g. with an SF₆ gas sensor, limit value 1,000 ppmv (F-gas regulation 517/2014 or
country-specific regulations)) or outdoors.

CAUTION!
Physical injuries and damage to property and the environment
Excessive pressure could result in a risk to persons, the environment and
equipment, as well as in the destruction of the calibration system.

Ensure that the pressure does not exceed 10 bar abs. when connecting
an external gas cylinder to CON2.
ATTENTION!
Escaping gas results in environmental hazards
If there are leakages at the connecting elements, the environmentally
hazardous gas may be released to the atmosphere.

Ensure that no SF₆ gas may be released to the atmosphere during
evacuation.
▶
Make sure that the connections between ACS-10 and the gas cylinder
are sufficiently leak-tight (e.g. with gas detector model GIR-10).
CAUTION!
Physical injuries and damage to property due to instrument falling
down
Improper evacuation may cause the instrument to fall down.
▶
Use a hose with a maximum length of 4 m for evacuation.
▶
Model ACS-10 must be in a horizontal position when filling on a level
and stable surface.
