5. Commissioning, operation

5.11 Leak test

To ensure the leak tightness of the internal components, the model ACS-10 can be
subjected to a leak test. To do this, tap the "Leak test" button (1) in the "Service" menu
item. Model ACS-10 then displays the necessary steps and starts the leak test.


5.12 Evacuation

If the "Not transportable" symbol flashes in the lower right-hand edge of
the screen, the instrument must not be transported in a motor vehicle due
to excessive pressure in the internal gas storage tank. In order to restore
transportability, the gas storage facility must be evacuated. The instrument
indicates itself ready for transport as soon as the internal pressure in the
instrument is ≤ 2 bar abs.
The contents of the internal gas container can be evacuated into an external gas
cylinder or into an empty gas bag using the "Evacuate" function (1). Evacuation is
required, for example, to establish the transport state (internal pressure ≤ 2 bar abs.).
Model ACS-10 can reduce the internal pressure to < 500 mbar abs. provided the
pressure in the external gas cylinder does not exceed 5 bar.
When using an external empty gas bag, an internal pressure of < 200 mbar abs. can be
achieved.
For evacuation at ambient pressure to a pressure ≤ 200 mbar, an external
vacuum compressor, e.g. WIKA model GVC-10 and an external gas
cylinder are required.
