10.1 Maintenance Safety Inspection Checklist

Inspect for missing hardware.
Ensure the base opens/closes with ease.
CASTER BASE Inspect the casters and axle bolts for tightness.
Inspect the casters for smooth swivel and roll.
Inspect and clear the wheels of debris.
Ensure the handle operates smoothly.
SHIFTER
HANDLE
Ensure locks adjustable base whenever engaged.
Inspect the mast–it MUST be securely assembled to the
boom.
MAST
Inspect for bends or deflections.
