In Canada, the use of a temporary
adapter is not permitted by the Canadi-
an Electrical Code.
Servicing of double-insulated ma-
chines
In a double-insulated machine, two
systems of insulation are provided in-
stead of grounding. No grounding
means is provided on a double-insulat-
ed machine, nor should a means for
grounding be added to the machine.
Servicing a double-insulated machine
requires extreme care and knowledge
of the system, and should be done only
by qualified service personnel. Re-
placement parts for a double-insulated
machine must be identical to the parts
they replace.

door floors or floors under covered
areas.
 Do not use the device for cleaning
public traffic routes.
 The device must not be used out-
doors.
 Do not use the device in a corrosive
environment.
 Never use the device in potentially
explosive atmospheres.
