Performance test
A performance test must be carried out every time a cylinder is changed and at least
every 6 months (if the appliance has been out of service).
Should faults be detected during performance testing or operation, the TESCOM EUROPE
pressure regulator must be taken out of service immediately. Contact TESCOM EUROPE
or an authorised specialist dealer to have the fault rectified.
A complete performance test includes:
•
A visual inspection for mechanical damage
•
Checking the system for leaks
•
Checking the safety valve for leaks
6.2.1 Checking the system for leaks
1.
Connect a filled compressed gas cylinder (see Section "Connection to a compressed
gas cylinder").
2.
Connect a suitable downstream appliance and start it up (see Section "Connection
of downstream appliances").
3.
Check that all screw connections and hose connections are secure.
4.
Open the valve on the compressed gas cylinder slowly.
5.
The cylinder pressure can now be read on the pressure regulator's inlet pressure
gauge.
6.
Close the cylinder valve again.
