THE REAR DERAILLEUR MAY BE SLIGHTLY PRESSED IN DURING TRANSPORT, BUT
CAN BE ADJUSTED WITH A WRENCH.
The derailleur system consists of three parts: front derailleur, rear derailleur and derailleur cables.
Front derailleur test: the three-sided shift lever belongs to the front derailleur; shift the lever from 1
to 3, and check if it goes smoothly. If the derailleur cannot upshift, the cable may be too loose; if the
derailleur cannot downshift, the cable may be too tight. In both cases, the cable knob can be adjusted
to manage the cable.
Rear derailleur test: the multi-gear shifter belongs to the rear derailleur; put the shifter to the max-
imum, check if the chain is in the smallest gear; if not, it may be that the derailleur is transmuting
slightly because of the transport, adjust it with a wrench. And the next step would be the same as the
front derailleur.
There are two screws: L and H, on both derailleurs, that adjust the derailleur. If the chain drops from
the inside, please adjust the L screw; if the chain drops from the outside, please adjust the H screws.
