CAPACITY Selection of battery capacity in Ah (Ampere / hour)
WARNING: for correct battery charger operation, and to
safeguard the batteries, it is mandatory to set the correct
value
Selection of the maximum charging current in mA.
Example: if the battery capacity is 4.5 Ah, it is
recommended to set a value of 450mA (1/10 of the
capacity).
This value ca be decreased (for better battery
conservation over time) or increased (when a faster
charge is required, however observing the characteristics
of the battery).
NOTE: the maximum charging current selectable in the
menu is 3000mA, which can only be reached if charging
from a solar panel. Charging from electricity is limited to
700mA. The maximum current allowed for the batteries
provided by the battery manufacturer).
OFF
Battery charging performed with solar
electricity
ON
Battery charging performed exclusively with
solar energy.
Set to ON if operating ONLY with solar
panels (without mains power)
FLEX60, FLEX70, FLEX80, FLEX90
The selection of one of these options is useful only
for the models B71/PBX24/BOX and B71/PBX36/BOX
because it is necessary to have the power supply also
from the mains; the purpose is to exploit at the most
the energy of the battery to power the automation,
maintaining however a level of charge that in case of
blackout allows the buffer function. In the presence
of mains voltage, if the battery is fully charged, power
is supplied to the control unit from the battery and
maintained until the charge level has fallen to 60%, 70%,
80% and 90% respectively. NOTE: if the MAX value (70%)
has been selected in the MAINTENANCE/BATTERY LIFE
menu, only FLEX80 and FLEX90 are available.
Once the preset limit is reached, operation automatically
switches back to mains, and battery charging begins.
FLEX mode is reactivated when the battery has been
recharged to 95%.
