2. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
-
The operating personnel must strictly follow the safety instructions given in this manual.
During operation and maintenance of pump units of this series, other safety regulations generally
accepted in the workplace must also be observed.
-
Do not touch the pump and pipes when it is running. Necessary precautions must be taken to alert
users. (For example, warning signs and signs)
-
Do not turn on the pump in reverse.
-
Do not subject the pump and pipes that are connected to the pump to mechanical stress.
-
The installation of pipelines must be carried out in such a way as to exclude the transmission of
mechanical stresses and vibrations to the pump.
-
It is forbidden to carry out any work on the switched on unit.
-
Do not service the pump if there is excessive pressure in the pipelines.
-
Personnel servicing the pump must use serviceable tools, have protective equipment.
3. PURPOSE, DEVICE AND TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Industries of application of pumps of the MTZ-P series
Pumps of this series are used for pumping a variety of liquids, ranging from clean or slightly
contaminated water to urea-ammonia mixtures. Such a pump can be used for filling containers,
watering, spraying liquid fertilizers and plant protection products, for fire fighting, as well as in other
industries where it is not possible to use electric pumps.
The pump is mounted on the rear hitch of the tractor and provides a working fluid supply height of up
to 150 m.a.c. The pump is driven from the tractor power take-off shaft through the cardan shaft.
Considering that the PTO of the tractor has a gearbox for adjusting the rotational speed of the
impeller, the productivity of pumps of this series can reach 200 cubic meters per hour.
Pump design
Pumps of the MTZ-P series are monoblock horizontal pumps with a free shaft end, for the
possibility of connecting a drive (PTO - power take-off shaft). The impeller is driven through a
single-stage helical gear reducer for smooth rotation and low noise performance. The working
chamber of the pump is sealed with a mechanical seal that does not require maintenance
throughout the entire period of its operation.
This type of pumps uses a stainless impeller of a closed type, which allows pumping not only
clean water, but also other liquids that do not corrode stainless steel.
