4. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
It is allowed to transport the pump by all means of transport, subject to the rules for the carriage
of goods in accordance with existing instructions for certain types of transport.
The pump must be packed in such a way that it cannot be damaged during transportation by
the appropriate means of transport.
NOTE
Follow these halts when transporting goods:
- Use an appropriate lifting device to unload or load wooden crates, packages, boxes and
pallets, depending on their weight and volume.
- Wear gloves, hard-tipped shoes and a helmet while working.
- Never stand under the hoist when loading or unloading pumps.
Please observe the following rules when loading/unloading.

Attach the pump with slings

Consider the total weight, dimensions and center of gravity of the load

Use a lifting device with the appropriate lifting capacity

Do not stand under or near a lifted load.

The load must not be in the raised position for longer than the required time.

The pump must be transported in an upright position.
Storage

If the pump is stored for a long time or is not in use, it should be stored in a clean, dry place.

If the pump bearings are of the type to be lubricated, they must be additionally lubricated to
prevent moisture ingress.

The pump must be protected from moisture, dust, dirt and foreign objects, covered with
a suitable material.

The pump shaft must be rotated several revolutions (eg once a week) to prevent pitting around the
shaft bearing surfaces.
5. PUMP INSTALLATION AND PIPING INSTALLATION
Installation of the pump, connection of the cardan shaft and installation of pipelines must
be carried out only by qualified personnel.
When installing the pump, you must adhere to the following rules

There must be sufficient space around the pump for maintenance.

The suction pipe of the pump should be as short as possible.

The pump unit must be placed on the hitch of the tractor and securely fastened. Pump
models MTZ-P 20/300, 30/300, 40/600, 50/350 are supplied without base frame. Pump models
MTZ-P 90/450, 90-2/450, 100/500, 100-90/450,125-100/450, 90-3/450, 100-90S, 150/350,
150/420 are equipped with a base frame.
Connecting the cardan shaft
Switch off the tractor completely! The tractor BOM and the HPP (pump drive shaft) must be cleaned
and lubricated. Attach the cardan shaft first to the pump and then to the tractor PTO. The cover of
the cardan shaft shows which side the shaft should be attached to the tractor.
