non-return valve in the suction
line
Pipeline blockage
There is no oil in the gearbox. The
pump is running too fast.
The propeller shaft has too large
an installation angle
Presence of air in the pumped liquid
Leaky pipe connections or faulty
non-return valve in the suction
line
Pipeline blockage
Dry running of the pump (short-term
or long-term operation without water)
Seal damage due to ingress of
foreign objects

Remedy
Increase the liquid head in the suction
pipeline when working under the bay.
Reduce the length of the suction line when
drawing liquid from the tank.
Increase the diameter of the suction
pipe.
Clean valve, filter, pipeline
Add oil.
Reduce speed to nominal Correct the
position of the cardan shaft
See point 1, in addition - Check the
correct operation of the
instrumentation. Check whether the
design scheme of the pipeline
corresponds to the real one.
Check the condition of the pipeline and
fittings.
Increase the pipe diameters if necessary.
Replace the mechanical seal Clean
the pump chamber
Replace bearings, gears
