Return to working position the main casing of the tractor power take-off shaft (PTO) if it was
displaced to connect with the cardan shaft. The cardan shaft end forks can have the following means
of fastening:
- Quick release pin: push in the pin and at the same time slide the driveshaft onto the BOM or HDP
until the pin is fully engaged.
- Bolt-lock or spring-loaded safety lock: place the yoke partly on the PTO or HDP, then slide the lock
ring back. Then continue to slide the yoke onto the PTO or HDD until the ring snaps into the closed
position.
- Automatic lock: slide the ring back until the ring locks in the back position. Then continue to
slide the yoke onto the PTO/VPN until the ring snaps into the closed position.
- Clamping bolt: unscrew the bolt from the end fork. Put the fork on the PTO or HDP and tighten the
bolt with the nut (the nut must follow the direction of rotation). The nut must be sufficiently
tightened (M12=91 Nm; M16=226 Nm; ½ -13=101 Nm; 5/8-11=204 Nm).
Always double check that the end forks are securely fixed!
It may be necessary to remove the tractor hitch for mounted and semi-mounted implements,
as well as the lower links fixed in a suitable position for trailed implements, to avoid damage
to the driveshaft housing.
-
Use a cardan shaft of the required length.
-
The angles of the universal joints must always be equal. If the angles are too large or unequal,
the cardan shaft must be disconnected. At the maximum allowable working angles, make sure that
the cardan shaft cover does not interfere with the rotating cardan shaft or any parts of the tractor or
implement (for example, hitch, PTO / PTO guard, wheels, etc.) In such a situation, it is necessary to
reduce the working angles of the cardan joints . Failure to comply with the instructions regarding
the maximum permitted angles may result in damage to the cardan shaft and/or the end effector
(pump)!
-
Regularly perform maintenance of the cardan shaft, according to the operating instructions for
this type of equipment.
Connection to the pipeline
-
The input of the working medium is carried out in the axial, and the output in the radial branch pipe
centrifugal pump.
-
The diameter of the inlet and outlet pipelines is selected according to the calculation and, as a rule, is
larger than the diameter of the pump nozzles by 1 - 2 sizes.
-
The pump housing must not be subjected to tensile, torsion, or compression loads from
connected pipelines.
In order to be able to adjust the flow of the pump and start it, on the pressure pipeline,
install shutoff valve.
-
To protect the pump from damage by solid particles, a
mesh filter.
-
To prevent vibration transmission to the connected pipelines, use flexible pipelines or use vibration
dampers.
Excessive, unacceptable increase in stresses in the pipeline can lead to leakage of the working
fluid.
-
The nominal dimensions of the suction and discharge pipes of the pump are not a guideline
for adjusting the dimensions of the suction and discharge pipelines. Nominal pipe openings
must be the same or larger than the pump nozzles. Never use pipes or accessories that have a
smaller opening than the pump nozzles.
-
The gate valve on the discharge pipeline should be installed as close as possible to the pump, in
order to be able to control the operation of the pump and regulate the flow when the pump is put
into operation.
