air from outside to the room sufficient to replace the volume of air that comes out of the chimney flue at least.
Make sure there is no possibility of creating a draft parallel to the chimney flue. To do this, any gap around
the flue inside the chimney chamber must be sealed.
-
In well insulated houses air inlet must be fitted through the outer wall, and if a vent is installed, it must be
fitted in such a way that it cannot be blocked.
Warning. - In homes without the appropriate outside air inlet, Extraction fans (e.g. Kitchen extractors) can cause
problematic reverse chimney draughts.
If you have no other option and you have to leave the combustion air intake inside the chimney chamber, take the
following precautions:
Leg kit for easy installation
In this model, a practical leg kit is available as an option. These legs are adjustable in height, so they facilitate the
installation and connection of the air inlet for combustion
- If the pipe cross the slab at any point you must seal any gap
between the two to make sure that there is no possibility of
creating a draft parallel to the chimney flue.
- Make sure there is sufficient air supply inside the chimney
chamber. This supply must not be made through the hole above
the chimney.
