If the device is delivered on a pallet, build a ramp to drive the de-
vice down using the boards included.
1 Cut the plastic packing strips and remove the film.
2 Connect the battery (see chapter "Batteries / chargers").
3 Remove the tightening strap fasteners.
4 Unscrew 4 marked flooring boards fastened with screws to the
pallet.
5 Position these 4 boards on the edge of the pallet; align the
boards such that they are beneath the wheels when driving the
device off the pallet.
6 Place wooden blocks and a board and secure them using
screws beneath the flooring boards to support them (see illus-
tration).
7 Drive or push the device off the pallet using the ramp created
(see chapter "Precommissioning | Pushing / driving the de-
vice").

Secure the device to prevent it from rolling away before you ac-
tuate the neutral lever.

1. To push the device, push the neutral lever down (OFF).
2. After pushing, pull the neutral lever up (ON).
Installing the side brush
Note
The side brush or brushes are attached to the device with a cable
tie when delivered.
1. Cut the cable tie.
2. Before the initial startup, attach the side brush to the device as
shown in the chapter "Changing the side brush".
Batteries / chargers
ATTENTION
Only use the batteries and chargers recommended by the
manufacturer
Only replace batteries with batteries of the same type.
Before disposing of the vehicle, remove the battery and dispose
of it in accordance with national or local regulations.
Activating the Li-Ion battery pack
Li-Ion battery packs are delivered in transport mode and must be
activated before initial startup of the device.
1. Charge the battery pack, this will end the transport mode.
or
2. Press and hold the ON/OFF membrane button next to the bat-
tery indicator for 5-8 seconds.

Inserting and connecting the battery pack
WARNING
Risk of injury due to the device tipping over!
The device may tip over when removing and installing batteries.
Ensure that the device is positioned stably when removing and in-
stalling the batteries.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage to the control electronics!
The control electronics can be destroyed by reversing the polarity
of the battery connections.
Take care to ensure the correct polarity when connecting the bat-
teries.
WARNING
Danger to life from fire or explosion if batteries are deeply
discharged!
Incorrect charging of deeply discharged batteries can cause a
fire.
Do not start the device if the battery is deeply discharged.
Make sure that the battery is charged before starting the system.
1. Remove the ignition key from the key switch.
2. Open the cover and secure it with the locking rod.
3. Place the battery pack in the device as shown.
