Initial Charging mode

For lead batteries that have not yet been filled, initial charging mode enables optimum ini-
tial charging following initial filling.

WARNING! Risk of serious injury and damage from the use of a non-permitted
operating mode for Li-ion batteries. Initial Charging mode may only be used for
12 V lead batteries (Wet and AGM).
WARNING! Risk of serious injury and damage from incorrect charging settings or
a defective battery. Before beginning the charging process, ensure that the set-
tings on the charger for the battery to be charged are correct and that the battery
is functioning properly.
Fill the battery as per the manufacturer's instructions

Connect the battery, observing the correct polarity. Because the charging leads are
de-energised, there is no risk of sparks when connecting to the battery, even if the
charger is already connected to the mains supply.
- Connect the red charging lead to the positive pole (+) of the battery
- Connect the black charging lead to the negative pole (-) of the battery
Select Pb Initial Charging mode using the up/down keys.
Select the Ah for the battery to be charged using the Menu
key.
Specify the appropriate Ah value using the up /down keys.
The charger automatically recognises the
connected battery and starts the 20 minute
dwell countdown.
