If the device remains in standby when the battery is connected, then the battery is in a state
of extreme deep discharge (< 2 V).

Connect the battery, observing the correct polarity. Because the charging leads are
de-energised, there is no risk of sparks when connecting to the battery, even if the
charger is already connected to the mains supply.
- Connect the red charging lead to the positive pole (+) of the battery
- Connect the black charging lead to the negative pole (-) of the battery

Select the Ah for the battery to be charged using the Menu
key.
Specify the appropriate Ah value using the up /down keys.
A notification appears stating that Pb Re-
fresh mode may only be used for lead bat-
teries.
Press the Stop/Start key to acknowledge the notification and
start the charging process.
If lead batteries are in a state of extreme
deep discharge, the notification "Low volta-
ge - attempting" appears. Activate this ope-
rating mode using the Stop/Start key.
During the analysis phase, the charger mo-
nitors the battery voltage and the result is
used in the subsequent charging process.
