REPLACE THE CONTROL ASSEMBLY
Follow pressure relief procedure before aempng to service or repair the unit. See Page 47.
If the trouble shoong guide suggest replacing the control assembly, follow the direcons below.
1. Remove 2 SCREWS #1, Diagram C, from CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY plate, (Potenometer side of plate).
2. Remove 3 SCREWS #1 Diagram B, from MOTOR COVER #3, Diagram B, and remove MOTOR COVER.
3. While using a pair of needle nose pliers to hold the TRANSDUCER body from turning, loosen the
TRANSDUCER NUT #15, Diagram C, from the PUMP HOUSING #9, Diagram A with a ¾" open end wrench.
Slide the TRANSDUCER out of the back of the PUMP HOUSING.
4. Disconnect the MOTOR LEADS from the Circuit Board, Diagram D/E.
5. Disconnect the MOTOR THERMAL PROTECTOR from Circuit Board Wire and Circuit Breaker, Diagram D/E.
6. Unplug the THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY from Circuit Board, Diagram D/E.
7. Remove 2 SCREWS #11, Diagram C, using a 5/32" allen wrench from MOTOR Gearbox Casng #5, Diagram B.
8. Pivot the CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY from the Circuit Board, Diagram D/E.
9. With replacement CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY in hand, route the Motor Leads, Motor Thermal Protector
Leads, and Thermistor Leads through the grommet in the CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY Plate.
10. Align the CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY #1, Diagram C, so it engages the slot on the fan baffle contained on
the MOTOR #5, Diagram B.
11. Pivot the front side of the CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY #1, Diagram C, unl it is in posion. At this point, install
and ghten 2 SCREWS #11, Diagram C, with a 5/32" allen wrench through the Control Plate assembly and
into the MOTOR Gearbox # 5, Diagram B.
12. Connect the MOTOR leads from the circuit board. See Diagram D/E.
13. Connect motor THERMAL PROTECTOR to the Circuit Board Wire and Circuit Breaker. See Diagram D/E.
14. Plug the Thermistor Assembly into the Circuit Board connector. See Diagram D/E.
15. While using a pair of needle nose pliers to hold the TRANSDUCER body from turning, ghten the
TRANSDUCER Nut #15, Diagram C, into the PUMP HOUSING #9, Diagram A with a ¾" open end wrench.
16. Plug the gray TRANSDUCER connector lead back into the Circuit Board JP4 connector.
17. Install the MOTOR COVER #3, Diagram B, back onto the assembly. Install 2 SCREWS #12, Diagram C,
through the CONTROL PLATE, (Potenometer side of plate).
18. Install 3 SCREWS #1, Diagram B, into the MOTOR Gearbox casng #5, Diagram B to complete reassembly.
