12 Using the Pole Pruner

11.6 Testing the Battery

► Press button on battery.
The LEDs glow or flash.
► If the LEDs do not glow or flash: Do not use the battery
and contact your STIHL servicing dealer.
There is a malfunction in the battery.

12.1 Holding and Controlling the Pole Pruner

► Connect the carrying ring (2) to the carabiner (1).
► Hold the pole pruner with one hand on the control handle
– wrap your thumb around the control handle.
► Hold the pole pruner firmly with your other hand on the
handle hose - wrap your thumb around the handle hose.

12.2 Limbing

Cross-cut
1 ► Position the stop (1) against the branch.
► With the chain running a full speed, pivot the guide bar
► Cut through the limb with the bottom of the bar.
► If the limb is under tension: Make the relieving cut (1) at
1
downward against the limb.
