Connection of torch 1 (11) and
torch 2 (12) for MIG/MAG-welding
The
welding
hose
assembly
is
pushed
into
the
central
connector coupling (4),
and the nut (5) is
tightened by hand If a
water-cooled torch is
used, the cooling hose
is connected to the
blue
quick-release
fitting (7) and the return
hose to the red quick-
release fitting (6). The reverser (16) is used for change
between welding torch 1 and 2.
The return lead is connected to the negative pole (8).
Moreover, a multi-plug must connected on the front of
the machine (15) if the torch is a MIG Manager
®
Note: MIG Manager
connection kit is mounted in the machine (special
equipment).
Connection of a cooling unit
Fastened the module under the power source. Mount
the 4-poled plug (9) in the corresponding socket in the
power source (10). Mount the flow hose in the quick
connection marked with blue and the return hose in
the quick connection marked with red. The cooling
liquid level can be seen in the inspection cover frame
(13).

can only be connected if a
Filling of cooling liquid
The cooling unit can be filled up with cooling liquid
through the outer filler neck (14).
Loading of MigaCARD
The delivered MigaCARD should be placed in the
MigaCARD reader in the wire panel (description of
wire panel page 23). The LED will be switched on
when the card is placed correctly and loading of the
machine software and the welding programs is
started.
It is recommendable to remove the card form the
MigaCARD reader if the card is editable. If the card
remains in the MigaCARD reader, all user settings will
be overwritten to standard setting when the machine is
restarted.
Important!
.
The machine cannot weld at delivery. Data at
MigaCARD must be loaded in the machine before
use.
Trolley with automatic mains voltage transition
(Special equipment)
The machine can be delivered with a trolley with a
unit, which automatically adjust the actual mains
voltage on the working area. With this transition unit
the machine can be connected to 3*230V, 3*400V,
3*440V, and 3*500V.
The auto-transformer has
a
mains
which can connect and
disconnect
supply. Moreover, the unit
has a standby function.
The
auto-transformer
enters sleeping mode and
the supply voltage is dis-
connected to the welding
unit,
when
transformer has not been used for 40 minutes.
The autotransformer can be switched on again by
pressing the key pad (18) on the auto-transformer unit.
The standby function can be permantly disconnected
by a technician when requested.
Adjustment of wire brake
The wire brake must ensure that the wire reel brakes
sufficiently quickly when welding stops. The required
brake force is depending on the weight of the wire reel
and the maximum wire feed speed. A brake torque of
1.5-2.0 Nm will be satisfactory for most applications.
Adjustment:
- Dismount the control knob by
placing a thin screw driver
behind the knob and thereafter
pull it out
- Adjust
the
fastening or loosening the self-
locking nut on the axle of the
wire hub
- Remount the knob by pressing it back into the
groove
