The machine changes to tack welding when
pressing on this key pad. An icon is shown
in the lower part of the right corner on the
display when the function is activated.
Description of the tack function can be
seen on page 22.
The key pad is used for bringing the
primary display up on the screen.
The key pad is used for display of the
secondary functions.
Description of the secondary parameters
can been seen on page 21 - 22.
The key pad is used for display of the
MigaCARD information.
The key pad is used for display of the
statistics of the last welding:
The statistics are a calculated average of
the last 10 seconds of welding.
Control knobs
The two control knobs control each half of
the display and are e.g. used for shift or
adjustment of parameters.
Section 2 (Lower part of the panel)
FLEX 3000 Duo has 4 key pads in the lower part of the
panel. These functions as on/off-buttons and are
described in the following:
2-times/4-times
LED above the key pad is switched on when 4-
times has been selected and is switched off
when 2-times has been selected.
2-times:
The welding process begins by pressing the torch
trigger. Welding continues until the trigger is released
again which effects the slope-down period. Welding
stops after burn-back. The machine can be reactivated
during slope-down and gas post-flow.
4-times:
The welding process begins by pressing the torch
trigger. The trigger is released and the machine
automatically feeds wire in up to 3 sec., before the
machine switches off (in case the wire has not touched
the weld piece). In order to stop the welding process
the trigger must be pressed again after which the
slope-down period begins. Welding stops when
releasing the trigger again. In 4-times with sequence it
is possible to make a change in sequence during
welding by pressing the trigger shortly.
Local-/torch trigger control
(cannot be used with a MIG Manager
LED above the key pad is switched on when
torch trigger control has been selected and is
switched off when local control has been selected.
Local control:
The left control knob is used for setting of current, wire
feed speed and material thickness. The right control
knob is used for setting of trim, voltage and arc adjust.
Torch trigger control:
Current, wire feed speed or plate thickness can be
adjusted both on the control knob internally and on the
control wheel on the welding torch when selecting
torch trigger control. The torch trigger can be used to
set a synergic current between the minimum current
and the adjusted current.
Pulse/no pulse
LED above the key pad is switched on when
welding with pulse has been selected and is
switched off when welding with no pulse has been
selected.
Change between pulse and no pulse during welding is
impossible unless this is done by change of sequence.
Quattro pulse/no quattro pulse
LED above the key pad is switched on when
welding with Quattro pulse has been selected
and is switched off when welding with no Quattro
pulse has been selected.
