Setting of secondary parameters
The key pad is used for setting of the welding
process: gas pre-flow, ignition, soft-start, MIG-hotstart,
welding, sequence, slope down, stop amp, burn-back
and gas post-flow.
The following display is shown after activating the key
pad:
The
secondary
parameter
display
: Indicates the welding phases. The selected pa-
rameter is marked with a square (cursor).
: Indicates the value of the adjusted welding
parameter in the welding process.
: Contains the unit and symbol for the adjusted
welding parameter in the welding process.
: In case of sequences, the number at the
sequence is indicated to which the secondary
settings apply.
: Indicates the welding current in amp.
The left control knob below the display is used for
navigation in the welding process.
The value can be adjusted with the right control knob
below the display when the requested welding
parameter has been selected.
Secondary welding parameters
The following secondary welding parameters can be
adjusted:
Gas pre-flow time:
Gas pre-flow time ensures that the
arc
atmosphere before an arc is established. Gas pre-
flow time is the time from activating the torch trigger
until the wire feed starts. The gas pre-flow time is
variable 0.0 - 10 sec.

temperature in the weld pool at the beginning of a
weld and can be used in both 2-times and 4-times.
2-times:
In 2-times the hot start cannot be controlled by the
torch trigger and is therefore defined in time. The start
amp is increased by a percentage of the welding
current. It can be adjusted between -99 % and 100 %.
4-times:
The torch trigger controls the hot start time in 4-times.
The current is increased by a percentage and remains
there until the torch trigger is released again.
Subsequently, the synergy current will decrease in ½
sec. to the adjusted value.
The time can be set between 0 and 20 sec
change of parameters between each sequence, thus
avoiding craters in connection with switch of
sequence. The increase/decrease is made over the
time selected in the parameter sequence slope time.
The sequence slope time can be set between 0 and
10 sec.
a crater filling. The current reduces from the adjusted
current to stop amp.
When releasing the torch trigger in 4-times the
machine continues until the stop AMP level has been
reached. Slope down can be adjusted between 0 and
10 sec.
from
stop amp. Stop amp is adjusted in synergy between
0 % and 100 % of the set current.
In 4-times the stop amp period depends on the stop
amp, as welding with stop amp will continue until the
torch trigger is released.
