4 Wireless Camera installation guide
NOTICE: For information on installing the camera, you may also reference
installation videos available on https://www.youtube.com/@toyotausa. If you are
not comfortable performing this installation, we recommend consulting with your
local trailer service center for installation.
4.1 Preinstallation Instructions
1. Ensure the Wireless Camera is fully charged.
2. Confirm Wireless Camera is paired and functional prior to mounting to the
trailer – see
3. Ensure the USB cover is in place. This prevents water damage to the camera.
Replace any missing screws, washers and tighten M4 screws with the Allen
wrench tool.
4. Check if your trailer has a trailer camera aftermarket pre-wire mount. The
camera bracket should fit the pre-wire mount. The pre-wire mount is usually
close to the roof of the trailer. If there is no trailer camera pre-wire mount, find
a high location on the back of the trailer to mount the camera.
5. Locate the trailer's 12-volt supply. Refer to the trailer's manufacturer if unable
to locate or identify the 12-volt supply in the trailer.
6. Check how to connect the camera to the trailer's 12-volt supply. If the trailer
has a trailer camera pre-wire mount, check if 12-volt connection is available. If
there is no trailer 12-volt connection, the camera will run on its internal
batteries.
