Hook the karabiner at the top end of the descent rope into the attachment point on the rescue harness
EN 1497 / ANSI Z359.4 or full body harness EN 361 / ANSI Z359.1 and secure it. (See Illustration 2).
(Use exclusively anchor eyelets (marked with "A")).
Throw down the plastic bag with the remaining lifting gear. The rope must hang free of loops and
reach down to the lower situated descent point. (See Illustration 3)
There is a karabiner on both ends of the rope on the lifting gear. The lifting gear runs over a sheave.
When there is a rope end with a karabiner at the higher abseil point, the other end of the rope with a
karabiner must be at the lower abseil point.
Fit the rescue harness on the lifting gear to the first person. (See Illustrations 4 and 5) Observe the op-
erating instructions of the rescue and / or full body harness.
Now pull on the downward hanging lifting gear for so long until a taut connection between the de-
scender device and the rescue harness is made. (See Illustration 6)
For this, switch the direction lever to the direction of the short lifting gear. Now switch the direction
lever to the direction of the long lifting gear.
Facing the wall, step out and descend. (See Illustrations 7 and 8)
The descent speed is automatically controlled. Be aware of obstacles!
Having arrived below, remove the rescue harness and leave it on the rope. (See Illustration 9)
For the descent of several people, there must be at least two rescue harnesses available. The second
person hooks the karabiner of the descent rope end now at the top in the attachment point of the sec-
ond rescue harness and secures it. Now put on the rescue harness found on the lifting gear. (See Il-
lustrations 4 and 5)
Pull on the long downward hanging lifting gear for so long until a taut connection between the de-
scender device and the rescue harness is made. (See Illustration 6) Now switch the direction lever to
the direction of the long lifting gear.
Facing the wall, step out and descend. (See Illustrations 7 and 8)
Having arrived below, remove the rescue harness and leave it on the rope. (See Illustration 9)
The other end of the descent rope with rescue harness now finds itself at the top abseil point again
and the third person can pull up the harness, leave it on the karabiner of the lifting gear and put it on.

All other persons can now descend one after the other in the same manner.
