CONTACT ACTUATION TRIGGER (Silver
Trigger)
If the Trigger Assembly (Black Trigger) that is
attached to the nailer is changed to the Trigger (A)
(Silver Trigger), then the nailer becomes only capable
of operation using the CONTACT ACTUATION
MECHANISM that is explained in the "NAILER
OPERATION" section. Operation using the SINGLE
SEQUENTIAL ACTUATION MECHANISM will no
longer be possible.
The operating method for the CONTACT ACTUATION
MECHANISM is as described in
First, press the push lever against the wood; next,
pull the trigger to drive the nail.
First, pull the Trigger; next, press the push lever
against the workpiece to drive the nail.
If the trigger is held back, a nail will be driven each
time the push lever is pressed against the workpiece.
● When performing the reassembly work to
change from the Trigger Assembly (Black
Trigger) to the Trigger (A) (Silver Trigger), be
sure to detach the air hose, and remove all
nails from the inside of the nailer.
● To use SINGLE SEQUENTIAL ACTUATION
MECHANISM again, it is necessary to change
back to the original Trigger Assembly (Black
Trigger). In order to change back to the
original Trigger Assembly (Black Trigger), be
sure to bring the nailer to the store where it
was purchased or to a metabo HPT authorized
service center to request the exchange work.
● To avoid double fi ring or accidental fi ring due
to recoil:
1) Do not press the nailer against the workpiece
with excessive force.
2) Separate the nailer from the workpiece as it
recoils after nailing.

WARNING
(1) Removing the Trigger Assembly (Black Trigger)
Required tools: Small fl at-head screwdriver
Remove the Spring and Shaft Ring, pull out the
Trigger Pin, and remove the Trigger Assembly (Black
Trigger).
However, attention should be given to the following
points.
• Disconnect the air hose.
REMOVE ALL NAILS FROM NAILER.
• Use a small fl at-head screwdriver to remove the Shaft
Ring.
Tapping the Trigger Pin to pull it out may cause the
Shaft Ring to break.
• When
removing
(Black Trigger), the Spring may become detached.
• When disassembling, be careful that the Trigger
Plunger does not fall off . If it does fall off , check the
following.
Check that there is no foreign matter adhered to the
Trigger Plunger, and if there is foreign matter, remove it.
Refer to the "Enlarged view of the valve part" in a
previous section, and reinstall the Trigger Plunger.
• Store
the
disassembled
(Black Trigger) and Spring in a safe place. They will
be needed when restoring to the original Trigger
Assembly (Black Trigger).
Also, do not re-use the disassembled Shaft Ring;
replace it with a new one.
Furthermore, when restoring to the original Trigger
Assembly (Black Trigger), be sure to have the
work performed by the store where the nailer was
purchased or by a metabo HPT authorized service
center.

(2) Assembly of Trigger (A) (Silver Trigger)
Assembly can be accomplished by the procedure
indicated by Fig. 4.
However, attention should be given to the following
points.
As shown in Fig. 4, pass the Trigger Pin fi rmly through
the hole of the Trigger (A), and install the Shaft Ring
on the Trigger Pin.
