OPERATION
STARTING UP
THE PRODUCT IS NOT SUPPLIED WITH ENGINE OIL.
BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE, ALWAYS CHECK THE OIL LEVEL.
SEE THE MANUAL FOR MORE DETAILS ON ENGINE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE.
NOTE:
Be very careful not to let dirt get into the engine when checking
or add oil or fuel.
OIL
Four-stroke engines require engine oil in the crankcase to lubricate the internal components. Severe or
irreversible damage could occur if you allow the engine to run without oil.
The product is NOT supplied with engine oil, although there may be residual oil from the factory.
It is essential that you add motor oil suitable for the type of engine before use.
If you do not add motor oil, the product warranty will be void.
Do not use special additives. Using 2-stroke engine oil could shorten engine life.
ENGINE OIL: Capacity (0.6L) SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general use at any temperature.
TRANSMISSION OIL: Capacity (1L) 80W90 is recommended
CHECKING AND ADDING OIL PROCEDURE
Check the oil level. Running the engine with a low oil level will cause serious engine damage. Keep the oil
level at FULL. Don't overfill it. Place the engine on level.
Clean around the oil filler cap and dipstick.
Reinsert the dipstick and remove it to check the oil level.
Remove the oil tank cap. Pour in the oil slowly.
Fill to the FULL mark on the dipstick and check again.
Replace the rod.
AIR FILTER
Check the cleaner for dirt or blockage of elements.
FUEL
Use fresh, clean, regular unleaded gasoline in accordance with the engine manual.
ADD FUEL
Fill the tank outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, away from sparks, open flames, pilot lights, heat and
other ignition sources. No Smoking. Do not use gasohol that contains more than 10% ethanol. Never use
gasoline that contains more than 5% methanol, even if it has corrosion inhibitors. If fuel is spilled, wait for
it to evaporate before starting the engine. Turn off the engine and let it cool for at least 2 minutes before
removing the gas cap. Remove the plug. Fill the tank to approximately 38mm below the top of the neck to
allow for fuel expansion. Be careful not to overfill. Replace the cap before starting.
Fuel tank capacity: 3.6L
STARTING AND STOPPING
TIPS
Store and refuel equipment in a level position.
Use new fuel.
Removes external loads from the equipment/engine.
Periodically remove any buildup of debris from the machine.
After starting the engine, allow it to warm up for several seconds to several minutes, depending on the
outside temperature.
TO START THE ENGINE
Caution! Make sure the clutch is disengaged and the shift lever is in neutral to avoid sudden,
uncontrolled movements when starting the engine. The clutch is activated by pulling the lever and
deactivated by releasing it.
IN COLD:
Open the fuel supply.
Select the ON option on the switch (5)
Place the air intake in the closed (right) position.
Move the accelerator (1) ¼ of its travel counterclockwise.
Gently pull the manual starter until you feel the engine's opposition, from this point pull vigorously until
it starts (repeat this operation if necessary).
With the engine on, move the air intake to the open position (left).
HOT:
Open the fuel supply.
Select the ON option on the switch (5)
Move the air intake to the open (left) position.
Gently pull the manual starter until you feel the engine's opposition, from this point pull vigorously until
it starts (repeat this operation if necessary).
TO STOP THE ENGINE
Using the accelerator, lower the engine revolutions to minimum. Then, turn the switch to the OFF
position and close the fuel valve.
To ensure maximum safety, the machine has a safety device:
a gear insertion control lever; When you release the lever, the gear is automatically disengaged.
