This chapter presents the procedures for replacing the equipment's safety items.
12.1 Replacing the air filter
A sterilizable hydrophobic air filter is used up to a temperature of up to 142°C with 99.9997% efficiency for
particles greater than or equal to 0.22 microns.
To replace the air filter, proceed as follows:
Turn off the sterilizer;
Unlock the side trim (maintenance side) using the key provided with the equipment;
Remove the finish by pushing it up and pulling it out;
Using your own hand, turn the hydrophobic filter counterclockwise at the top of the equipment;
Replace the filter observing the indication arrow that must be admitting air from the filter to the
pneumatic valve and the purging point downwards and return the steps above to assemble;
Close the side finish.
Replace the air filter carefully, as its body is constructed of plastic material.
12.2 Replacing the HMI battery
The battery change is informed by the control HMI screen when it is low and must be replaced. The battery is
located inside the HMI.
To replace the battery, proceed as follows:
With the sterilizer off, open the front finish using the key provided with the equipment;
Disconnect all cables;
Remove the rear of the HMI by pressing the latches in the locations indicated on the Figure 21;
With the back open, remove the battery connector from the circuit board and then the battery,
indicated on the Figure 22;
Insert the new CR-2032 battery with connector and close the compartment;
Close the front finish.
