To replace the pressure switch, proceed as follows:
With the sterilizer off, open the side trim using the key provided with the equipment;
Access the steam pressure switch;
Remove the connected cables with the aid of a screwdriver;
Remove the steam hose using a fixed wrench;
Remove the pressure switch using a key;
Reposition the new pressure switch;
Reposition the steam hose and cables and reconnect;
Turn on the equipment and test the pressure switch to validate its operation.
The replaced pressure switch must be calibrated.
12.10 Replacing the generator temperature switch
The generator thermostat is located attached to the steam generator.
Disconnect the electrical power from the mains before starting to replace the component.
Ensure that there is no pressure in the steam generator.
To replace the thermostat for 18 kW generators, proceed as follows:
With the equipment off, access the steam generator thermostat;
Disconnect the two wires from the thermostat (1);
Remove the resistance protection cover (2);
Remove the capillary that is inserted in the resistance well (5);
Remove the silicone tube that is connected to the resistance well (4);
Remove the thermostat fixing nut, located on the pressure switch support (1);
Mount the new thermostat on the pressure switch support by tightening the fixing nut (1);
Insert the silicone hose (4) in the thermostat bulb until the end of the capillary (5);
Insert the thermostat bulb to the bottom of the resistance well. (5);
Fit the silicone tube (4) to the spare end of the thermostat well located on the resistance flange. This
tube has the function of isolating the thermostat capillary from the electrical contacts of the
resistance;
Fix the silicone tube (4) together with the resistance supply cables with a nylon clamp (3), tighten
enough to avoid crushing the thermostat capillary;
Attach the heater protection cover (2).
