Dry Cell Batteries

Make sure to use LR6 alkaline batteries.
1 Attach the battery case.
@ Fit the catch into the cavity.
@ Fit the screw into the hole and screw down
the battery case.
2_ Insert three LR6 (size AA) alkaline bat-
teries with the @ and © marks prop-
erly aligned.
Dry cell battery condition
'The BATT signal changes as below according to
the condition of the batteries.

Replace all the batteries with new ones when the
E (red) BATT signal lights up. If you continue to
use the unit, the E (red) BATT signal goes off and
the unit turns off in about 30 seconds.
For longer operation
Up to 5 hours 15 minutes of playback is possible
when a fully charged rechargeable battery is used
together with the new alkaline batteries. The re-
chargeable battery is used first, and when it is worn
out, the power source is automatically switched
to the alkaline batteries. The @ mark on the dis-
play window indicates which battery is in use.
To avoid recording failure due to worn
batteries
It is recommended that house current be used
when recording for a long period of time.
AC house Current — EJ
Connect the supplied AC adaptor.
@ to DC 4.5 V jack
@ to a wall outlet
Unplug the AC adaptor from the AC outlet and
from the unit after use.
