Installation and connection
5.1 Preparing for installation
5.1.1 Fastening the connection housing
For secure fastening the connection housing of the BTL
must be fastened using a support, e.g. mounting bracket
(not included in scope of delivery) with two cylinder screws
(ISO 4762, M4 × 20) (torque: 2.5 Nm).

5.1.2 Installation variants
a) Installation in non-magnetizable material
We recommend using non-magnetizable material to mount
the BTL and magnet.

b) Installation in magnetizable material
If using magnetizable material, the BTL must be protected
against magnetic interference through suitable measures
(e.g. spacer ring made of non-magnetizable material, a
suitable distance from strong external magnetic fields).
Defined minimum distances refer to a sensor
measuring length of 930 mm, 1230 mm and
1830 mm must be viewed differently for other
measuring lengths / installation situations.
